Summer's End 02:16
Shade: "Running in circles, Laughing and breathing, Chasing fire flies - Wincing and teething... Summer's receding, But not by the lake - Under the moon." Sun: "When you go, Let me know, When you'll come back... 'Cause I - Don't wanna surprise, Unless it's strawberry skies."
3.
Me: "All I want is just the things I need, But all I get is an empty tune. These thoughts, they pass in 1s, and 2s and 3s. When left alone they weep a sunny moon. Will I be? The -" Shade: "Sun rises again." Sun: "There's much to see, If you wait patiently. There's me and there's you, And all that we do. In the morning right at dawn, High up in the sky, No surprise, that my yawn, Would lock a closed-shut eye." Me: "I need to see this whole thing through for once, But all I feel is the pull and tug of you. The shade I crave is one that ends in view, and the sun I shun is one that thinks of who? Will I be? The -" Shade: "Sun rises again" Me: "And again, and again... I wake and find through the, A wrong, a right, A note that mimics light. Ohhh... I don't need you tonight." Shade: "Listen, don't worry about a thing. We can practice all those- Things we sing... If you could feed me some passion, Exhaustion is lashing out. Bleeding, clotting, it's thoughtless and - Rotting out - All those thoughts in my brain, (Sun & Shade: "My name") I won't be the same... Won't be the same." Sun: "There's much to see, If you wait patiently. There's me and there's you, And all that we do. In the evening right at dusk, When the sun closes its eyes, No surprise that my yawn, Would raise a closed-shut eye." Me, Sun & Shade: "The sounds that you hear won't be here for long. The sounds that you fear, in your own head... Are the same sounds that won't let you go back to bed. These sounds in your ear, are only in your head."

Quiet Time 04:04
Shade: "Let yourself into my room, Enter in full bloom. What would you - Find under my sweater? Oh oh oh oh. Turn on a light please. Hand me my car keys. I wanna, Feel the breeze - On my skin... That flees When I die - Don't cry. It's like we were never here in the first place. Won't you join me in, The shade when you get through? We could laugh, And live, and be merry. Oh oh oh oh. If not? Don't worry... I understand you - Got your head on straight, And I respect it. But if you ever feel me not near - And you need me close, Listen to this song. Join me in the shade."
5.
Me: "I know there's a place. A place I can be, Finally - Focused for one, Where none could fall. A place inside me, Where I could call - Out to the, Knowing that you and me, Create, The sun and the shade. And again. And again. I know there's somewhere - Deep inside me, That if I could inflate, It would disguise me. Love, a balloon that drifts, Into the sky. Needle poking - you, Make me think twice to try. It's my head that tops this cake, But it's the shape I've found myself in - That keeps it going. And again. And again."
6.
Sun: "Dare I say, That if you needed me today - I'm sorry but, (Shade: "There's no one at -") Sun: "Home's where I'll be, Just wait and see if I start the day, Off on the right foot. Or not... Or not." Me: "Thanks for coming. I'd invite more if I had any other way - (Shade: "Than this -") Song that we're singin' That connects our ceiling to the day." Sun & Me: "What's that song you're humming? Is it the one where Brian admits that he's soon to fade? (Shade: "Much like this -") Old tune we're playing. Any minute now the sun could turn into the shade." Shade: "Where'd you go? I grow tired of me too, But I'd never give up on You."
7.
Sun: "Why are we always surprised? Why?" Shade: "Why are we always surprised? Why?" Me: "Why are we always surprised? Why?"
8.
In Your Eyes 03:21
Shade: "Wake me and take me, Outside my home and make me - Coincide, emotionally, With the leaves that fall from the trees... I say if you're here then I'm here, Wherever you go I'll be near - In your ear, just to say, But if you don't want it that way... I don't blame you, or frame you, This life that you live it contains you - Ooooh I bet, I could find you some shade, Ooooh I bet from the sun you could fade. Glass skies and sun ties Reflect like a mirror through your eyes - Through your eyes... The paper dream cries, That's why we're always surprised... That's why."
9.
Sun: "Wake up, Shake up - All of those dreams of yesterday Living in your tea, And see - It's not your company, More like the changing sea... Be, Still in your head, And let yourself fall asleep, And creep, Gently through - your mind. A miscue, I wish to - See myself again, The same way as you see And be, More upright when I talk, So that you can hear, My fear... I gave you the handle now, The kite will slip away, You say, That it was nice getting to know you." Me: "I gazed at the clouds, While you were on my porch, Painting each house that you saw. I heard a tune in your eyes, Play triplettes while stalking, The strokes of your pen as you draw." Sun: "I think back to, When you were young... And how every song that was sung, Rung, In your ears like the setting - Sun."
10.
Me: "These paper thin walls, They're improperly covered, I'd tare them down..." Shade: "It'd be sooo easy" Me: "But would it draw too much attention, All the suspension, My mother would faint. I'd rather be a dud, Than a boring old fud, With a desk and a wife, Gun and a knife... A mind that won't wander, An unimportant life... It's the same old blunder - That I'm slipping under Again, and again." Shade: "It'd be sooo easy" Sun: "I like a surprise, The sun... when it does rise." Shade: "I'd be an adult, But I cannot default under your eyes." Me: "When you go, Let me know, When you'll come back. When you go, Let me know, When you'll come back... 'Cause I don't wanna surprise, Unless it's strawberry skies."
